Advance tickets available at reduced price
The fun of carnival rides will return to the Bell Tower Festival this year, with discount pricing available now through June 11.
The Greene County Chamber has contracted Amusement Associates to bring a dozen mechanical rides and inflatables for Bell Tower Big Top June 12-13. “This company has worked for Ogden Fun Days for years, and the recommendation from the Ogden folks was very reassuring,” Bell Tower Festival coordinator Angie Pedersen said. “This company has safe and fun rides for kids and grown-ups alike. They are clean and pretty and reasonably priced.”
The carnival will be open Friday, June 12 starting at 4 pm, and all day Saturday except during the 11 am parade. The rides and inflatables will take up the entire east side of the Bell Tower Square, Pedersen said.
Advance tickets* are available now at the Chamber office at 220 N. Chestnut St in Jefferson. Sheets of 20 tickets cost $15. The rides and inflatables will cost one to four tickets. Advance sales will end the Thursday of Bell Tower Festival week. On Friday, full sheets of tickets can be exchanged for a wristband (a $20 value) for unlimited rides Friday and Saturday. The wristbands will be available only on Friday, but will be good both days.
“The advance tickets are a really great deal for all of us, and that’s one of the reasons who hired Amusement Associates,” Pedersen said. “They’re a good savings, and with the wrist band option, people can have a whole lot of fun for one low price. All money spent on advance sales stays with the Chamber, so buying ahead not only saves money, but it will support our effort to put on a truly awesome Festival.
“We’ve got the tickets now, so if there’s a birthday coming up, or you want to reward a kid for a great end to the school year, or you know you’ve got grandkids coming and you want to be prepared, we’re ready. We’d love to see businesses step up and purchase tickets, too. Think of the excitement of a kid with carnival ride tickets already hanging on the refrigerator,” Pedersen said.
“And, if that’s not enough, our timing is perfect. Amusement Associates will honor any unused advance tickets from the Bell Tower Big Top at Ogden Fun Days just two weeks later, or at the Boone County Fair July 23-26. We’re so happy to be working with that company,” she added.
